1. Register to vote. You can't vote if you are not registered, so register today or help someone else do so. Forms can be obtained online or from the following: many government offices/agencies, county boards of elections, the Archdiocesan Office for Communications.

3. Vote with an informed conscience by analyzing public policy issues that affect your community for both their social and moral dimensions.
4. Visit/call/write your legislators to inform them of your positions on public policy issues. Here's a guide to contacting your legislators, and a directory to locate them.
5. Write letters to the editor of your local newspapers to state your positions on public policy issues.
6. Talk with your family, friends and neighbors about public policy issues affecting your community.
7. Speak with parishioners in neighboring parishes in your cluster about organizing a candidates' forum, an event that can present candidates' views in a neutral, non-partisan setting.
