Within the context of the mission of the Church and the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, namely, to proclaim Jesus Christ and his Gospel message of salvation, the Secretariat for Temporal Services endeavors to support the spiritual and pastoral work of the Church. In particular, the Secretariat exists to provide service to the Cardinal Archbishop, to the Archdiocese, and to Archdiocesan entities through stewardship, leadership, and pastoral management of the temporal goods and resources of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. The Secretary for Temporal Services provides executive oversight to the directors, staff, and operations of the various offices which comprise the Secretariat.
