FIRST ANNUAL ARCHDIOCESAN STEWARDSHIP DAY

The Parish and Diocesan Stewardship Initiative of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia will hosts
the First Archdiocesan Stewardship Day on

Saturday, January 9, 1998
9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Wyndham Franklin Plaza Hotel
17th Street between Race and Vine
Philadelphia, PA

What is Stewardship? Stewardship is generously giving of one's time, talent, and treasure. As
Christian stewards, we should receive God's gifts gratefully, cultivate them responsibly, share
them in justice with others, and return them with increase to God.

This all-day conference will provide the opportunity for people to network and to hear
presentations from nationally recognized speakers. Most Reverend Vincent DePaul Breen,
Bishop of the Diocese of Metuchen, New Jersey, is the keynote speaker. He will address the
role of the Diocese, Pastors, Priests, and Laity in making Stewardship a reality. The topics of the
sessions are: Stewardship for Children & Youth: A Way of Living God's Love; Lay Witnesses:
Hearing the Message, Answering the Call; A Stewards Way of Life: Living Out the Commitment;
Financial Growth: A Parish Tells Its Story.

Mr. Kevin Reilly, Marketing Manager for Xerox Corporation, will be the guest speaker at lunch.
Anthony Cardinal Bevilacqua, Archbishop of Philadelphia, will celebrate the closing Vigil
Mass at 4:00 p.m.

All are invited to attend. Registration is $40 prior to December 18th and $50 after,
therefore we encourage early registration. For registration information, please contact the
Office for Development at (215) 587-3651.
