GOOD WORKS

Hello, this is Cardinal Rigali. Mother Teresa of Calcutta once said, "Good works are links that form a chain of love." It is important for us to do good works because it is an outward expression of our love for others. There are so many people in the world who need our help - the homebound elderly, the sick and dying, and the poor and hungry.

Good works are also vital to living the Gospel message that Jesus preached: "Whatever  you did for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me." (Matt. 25:40)

God calls all of us to do good works, however small. I encourage you to seek opportunities to be the kind of person that Mother Teresa talked about by doing good works and being a link in the chain of love in our world today.

May God bless you all.
