Living Without Fear and Anxiety

Hello, this is Cardinal Rigali.

Most people experience fear and anxiety at some point in their life. These feelings can originate from many different sources. However, believers are heartened by the words of Jesus, spoken often in the Gospels, and which our Holy Father, Pope John Paul II, has echoed numerous times, "Do not be afraid!"

What does Jesus mean? Jesus is the Son of God who became Man for our salvation. He has overcome the world. He makes Himself available to us in the Eucharist, the Most Blessed Sacrament. How can a disciple give in to fear and anxiety when Jesus is with us always even to the end of the world? Turn to Christ! He will overcome your fears and anxieties. He is your Savior!

May God bless you all.
