JESUS' INVITATION TO CONVERSION

Hello. This is Cardinal Rigali.

There are two Sacraments that are very closely connected to each other. They are the Holy Eucharist and Penance. Both Sacraments recall for us the ongoing need for conversion in our personal lives. The Holy Eucharist makes present the redeeming sacrifice of the Cross of Christ, perpetuating it sacramentally. It is a gift beyond all measure. If our conscience is burdened by serious sin then we need to travel the path of penance through the Sacrament of Reconciliation, Confession.

In this year of grace, the Year of the Eucharist, the Archdiocese once again offers a Reconciliation Weekend on February 25 - 26 for all the Catholic Faithful. I beseech all Catholics to take advantage of this opportunity of grace.

May God bless you!
