PRAYER ON THE PARKWAY

Dear brothers and sisters:

Our dear Holy Father, Pope John II, called the universal church to celebrate the Year of the Eucharist, a call ¨to contemplate, praise and adore in a special way this ineffable Sacrament.¨ The year of the Eucharist in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia will conclude with, Prayer on Parkway, a Eucharistic Holy Hour and Benediction on Sunday, September 18, 2005 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Logan Square on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway in Philadelphia.

As Archbishop, I invite all Catholics to attend this momentous event - a Holy Hour of prayer focusing on Christ’s Eucharistic presence in our lives. This will be a celebration of our Catholic faith we will never forget! Come celebrate Christ’s Eucharistic presence.
