Newman Centers

Newman Centers have a special place in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. The very first “Newman Club” was founded at the University of Pennsylvania in 1893. It was named for and inspired by Bl. John Henry Cardinal Newman, an English convert to Catholicism, and inspired by his writings on the intersection of University life, academic pursuit, and the spiritual growth of young Catholic students. Today, thousands of Newman Centers serve students at universities across the world. Below you will find the Newman Centers within the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.
