Cardinal Justin Rigali, Archbishop of Philadelphia, will celebrate the 80th anniversary Mass of Saint Timothy Parish in Philadelphia.
Description:
Once again, Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary will open its doors to the public on Sunday October 26, 2008 for our Annual Open House. There will be two tours available beginning at 12 p.m. with the last tours leaving at 4:00 p.m. Let our seminarians be your tour guides, as they take you through a “day-in-the-life” on the Seminarian Life Tour. Or learn about the Seminary’s collection of historic religious artwork on the Sacred Arts Tour. This year, the Seminary will feature a unique collection of religious artifacts portraying the Blessed Virgin Mother and Jesus. The exhibit features over thirty fine porcelains of the Madonna and Child and will be on display in the lower level of the Ryan Memorial Library.
This year’s event is also of particular significance as the Seminary celebrates 55 years of this special annual event. Visitors are also invited to join the Seminary community for Evening Prayer and Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament at 5:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Saint Martin of Tours.
If you plan to have a group of fifteen or more in attendance, please contact the Seminary's Office for Dining and Guest Services at 610-785-6544. Thank you.
