Saint Kateri Tekakwitha Canonization Celebration

Description:

The Archdiocese will celebrate the canonization of Saint Kateri Tekakwitha with a Mass of Thanksgiving and day of celebration at Saint Katharine Drexel National Shrine. The festivities are sponsored by the Archdiocese of Philadelphia Office for the Pastoral Care of Migrants and Refugees, The Lily of the Mohawk Kateri Circle, and the Sisters of the Blessed Sacrament. All are welcome to attend.

1:00 p.m. - Film on the Life of Saint Kateri, exhibits, and Native American Drumming and Round Dancing on the grounds of Saint Katharine Drexel National Shrine.

2:30 p.m. - Procession carrying a statue of Saint Kateri and Blessing of the Four Directions.

3:00 p.m. - Mass of Thanksgiving
Celebrant and Homilist: Father Thomas Betz, O.F.M. Cap.

Reception following the Mass at Saint Katharine Drexel Mission Center.
