Second Fortnight for Freedom

Description:

Last year, in the statement, Our First, Most Cherished Liberty (April 2012), the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops’ (USCCB) Ad Hoc Committee for Religious Liberty announced the first Fortnight for Freedom – a call to fourteen days of prayer, action, and study for religious freedom in the United States and abroad.

Recognizing that we still face many challenges to religious liberty, in December 2012, the U.S. Bishops announced that they would be promoting another Fortnight for Freedom in 2013.

Once again, the observance of The Second Fortnight for Freedom, June 21 to July 4, 2013, will be parish-based in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.

Prayer Resources for the Fortnight for Freedom can be found via the USCCB:  http://usccb.org/issues-and-action/religious-liberty/fortnight-for-freedom/fortnight-freedom-prayer-resources.cfm.
