Cluster 16 Implementation Committee met on February 16, 2000 at Holy Innocents Parish to track achievement of the Cluster Pastoral Plan goals and to give direction and/or assistance to subcommittees working on these goals.
Goal #3: To share cluster riches and spiritual resources.
Goal #4: To increase lay leadership and involvement in the Church with special emphasis on evangelization
A pilot program for Pre-Cana is being developed in coordination with the Family Life Bureau. This will enable the parishes of the Cluster to have couples attend within the Cluster. The projected time to initiate this program is November 2000.
A subcommittee was formed to review the CCD Programs within the Cluster. Approximately 400 grade school children
attend some level of CCD Program within their parish, mostly for Sacramental Preparation. An ongoing CCD Program
for Junior High and Senior High is needed. The subcommittee will investigate the possibilities.
A subcommittee is being formed to look into the CYO Programs within the Cluster (both High School and Grade School).
A subcommittee was established to work with Catholic Social Services. The purpose would be to establish the presence
of Catholic Social Services within the Cluster and to look into the various programs offered by Catholic Social
Services.
The next meeting of the Implementation Committee will be held on March 28, 2000 at Holy Innocents Parish.
