Following the Eucharistic Liturgy at Our Mother of Consolation Church September 18, 2000, the Implementation Committee and Subcommittee chairpersons met. They discussed the continuation of the implementation of the seven cluster goals for the upcoming year.
--Develop a plan and process for the equitable deployment of priests that takes into account the canonical and pastoral implications of the deployment.
--Support and develop adult religious development efforts through the cluster.
--Encourage Catholics to make prayer, including liturgical and personal, central to their lives.
--Reach out and evangelize those distanced from Church.
--Develop cluster wide processes to insure the maintence and development of quality Catholic schools.
--Develop lay participation and responsibility in the leadership of the Church and plans and programs that will prepare the laity for greater involvement.
--Focus on youth.
Prayer and Liturgy Subcommittee
Twenty participants are enrolled in the L.I.V.E. Fall 2000 Program: We Gather in Christ: Rediscovering our Identity as Assembly at St. Mary of the Assumption Parish.
Education Subcommittee
In the near future, the Education Subcommittee will address presentations on Grant Writing and in Honors
Math Program in our cluster schools.
Adult Education Subcommittee
Classes have begun for the year 2000-01 at St. Mary of the Assumption Parish.
Evangelize Subcommittee
Future meetings will examine the Disciples in Mission Program and evaluate plans for evangelization.
Lay Leadership and Participation Subcommittee
Collation of information from parish surveys: results of which will be discussed at a future date.
Youth Subcommittee
CYO Board of Adults intends to put together a communique among cluster parishes.
