St. Andrew Holy Trinity

St. Augustine St. John the Evangelist

Cathedral Ss. Peter & Paul

Old St. Joseph

St. Francis Xavier Old St. Mary

St. Hedwig St. Patrick

A summary of the Plan is offered below:

1) Meet the Archdiocesan projection of five diocesan priests for this Cluster by 2000, and allocate these five priests as they can best serve the parishes in the Cluster as follows.

- Five pastors/administrators remain assigned to Cathedral, St. Andrew, St. Francis Xavier, Old St. Mary's/Holy Trinity, and St. Patrick parishes.

- Consolidate St. Hedwig and St. Francis Xavier parishes in the year 2000, keeping St. Hedwig Church building as a second worship site of St. Francis Xavier Parish.

- Remove the parochial vicar assigned to Hispanic ministry from Cathedral Parish in 2000. The administration and pastoral care of La Milagrosa Community be separated from the Cathedral and be assigned to a priest from the Hispanic apostolate who resides outside Cluster 20.

- Remove the second parochial vicar from Cathedral Parish. Priests currently in educational/administrative positions be given secondary assignments at the Cathedral, most especially in regard to hospital ministry.

2) Assign St. Charles Borromeo Parish to assist St. Patrick Parish in the pastoral care of Catholic patients at Graduate Hospital.

3) St. Augustine, Old St. Joseph, Old St. Mary's, and Holy Trinity parishes will coordinate tours honoring their historic religious importance.

4) Communicate significant parish events and resources to other parishes in the Cluster via such publications as a professional and occupational directory, a common calendar and a listing of cluster-wide resources.
