Cluster 23 Parishes Work Together To Implement Plan
Cluster 23 / Philadelphia-South Vicariate
SEPTEMBER 2000
(Media Release - 10/2/00)

St. Aloysius St. Gabriel
St. Charles Borromeo King of Peace
St. Edmond St. Thomas Aquinas
The Cluster 23 Implementation Team has been meeting since June, 1999. It held its eighth meeting on September 14, 2000. The goals outlined in the Pastoral Plan for Cluster 23 are being addressed.

In order to foster greater stewardship of time, talent and treasure among the Cluster parishes, a Stewardship Committee has been formed with representatives from each parish in the Cluster (Goal # 3). These members expressed an interest in working on Stewardship at the gathering of Parish Pastoral Councils which was held in February. The members of this Committee are:

St. Aloysius St. Gabriel
Pat Sheridan Mary Jean Youngblood
Margaret Conway
St. Charles Borromeo King of Peace
Father Majoros Valaria Bivins
Bill Mayes Claudine Coleman
Sr. Denise Ware
St. Edmond St. Thomas Aquinas
Father Groarke Charles Marinelli
Patricia Fascina Sam Masapollo
Brian Mooney

It is their hope to discover, celebrate, share and give thanks for the gifts which unite the Body of Christ and to invite others to journey with them in Stewardship through deepening conversion.

The Implementation Team is now beginning work on "making better use of the laity within the Cluster and to develop good lay leadership within all the ministries within the Church" (Goal # 4).

At this time, on behalf of all parishioners, we thank Father John Bradley, Father Ralph Chieffo and Father Francis X. Cortese for their untiring efforts and valuable insights as members of the Cluster Pastoral Planning Committee and, until recently, members of the Cluster 23 Implementation Team. We also welcome Father Michael Lee and Father Thomas Rossi -- new pastors in the Cluster, and now members of the Cluster Implementation Team.
