The following is offered as an update on the work of implementing the Cluster 24 Pastoral Plan.
The Cluster 24 Advisory Board (charged with monitoring the implementation process) held meetings in September, November and January. A seasonal Cluster Calendar was prepared and distributed to the parishes of the Cluster for the Advent/Christmas Season, and will continue to be available at the beginning of each Liturgical Season. Each pastor in the Cluster will be contacted in advance of the Calendar's release so that information on each of the parish's events will be made available.
St. Rita of Cascia Church (and Shrine) has been designated as a "Pilgrim Church" for the Jubilee Year 2000.
Work toward the consolidation of St. Mary Magdalen de Pazzi with St. Paul Parish is continuing, with the pastor of St. Paul meeting with St. Mary Magdalen de Pazzi's Parish Pastoral Council to effect a smooth transition.
A feasibility study has begun for St. Casimir Parish School as noted in Goal # 2 of the Cluster 24 Pastoral Plan.
Work is continuing on Goal # 6 ("To renew and coordinate youth programs within the Cluster") with the formation of a subcommittee to work with the Archdiocesan Office for Youth and Young Adults.
Each member of the Cluster 24 Advisory Board has asked members of their respective Parish Pastoral Council to compile a "wish list" of resources that their parish would like to have. Once the list is compiled, we will see which parish can assist another parish with a particular wish.
