EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Cluster Action Plan - Cluster #30
Cluster 30, consisting of Nativity of Our Lord, Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Saint Cyril of Jerusalem, Saint Joseph, Saint Martin of Tours, Saint Robert Bellarmine, and Saint Vincent de Paul, began the planning process in November 1998. The parishes joined together to share information and experiences about each parish, and to evaluate needs, strengths, limitations and resources within the Cluster.
The Committee met for the first time on November 23, 1998, and continued to meet each month thereafter. The
Committee reviewed the internal strengths and limitations of the Cluster as well as the external opportunities
and challenges and their collective vision for the future of the Church in Bucks County. Many of the challenges
facing the Cluster stem from the tremendous growth and development of the area covered by the seven parishes; the
need to provide educational opportunities and to increase involvement in parish activities of both active and non-active
members.
With input from Parish Pastoral Councils and parishioners, the Committee developed a Cluster Action Plan consisting
of seven goals:
- To establish a new parish in the Buckingham area.
- To strengthen the opportunity for Catholic school education.
- To improve and coordinate youth and young adult ministry
- To provide pastoral lay leadership training opportunities
- To provide cluster adult religious education programs
- To provide family ministry and encourage religious vocations
- To support parish evangelization efforts
Representatives from each of the seven parishes will meet together to begin implementation of the Cluster Plan in October 1999.
