On Monday evening, June 8, 1998, the Cluster Pastoral Planning members for Cluster 54 met for the last time as a group. The members, having prepared the Cluster 54 Plan, had completed their work. All that was left to do tonight was to have each Cluster member sign the final document. Therefore, tonight's meeting was not one of discussion and discernment but was a meeting for joyous celebration. Cluster members met and shared a meal to celebrate the completion of the planning phase of Cluster work. Through the intercession of the Holy Spirit, the group had been able to complete the Plan and to develop friendships and bonds with members of the other Cluster parishes.

Monsignor McDonough thanked each Cluster member for their dedication and hard work. The next step in the Cluster Pastoral Planning Process will be the presentation of the Plan to Cardinal Bevilacqua by Monsignor McDonough. Once Cardinal Bevilacqua approves the Cluster Plan, the Plan will be presented to the parishioners of each Cluster parish by their pastoral council members. Following these parish presentations, the implementation steps of the Plan will begin.

Since the Cluster Planning activities are complete, this marks my final Cluster communique. It has been my pleasure providing parishioners of all five parishes, information about our Cluster work. When the Cluster Implementation Committee begins to implement the action steps, they will be looking to parishioners of all five parishes to help them to achieve the desired Cluster goals. Please help our parishes to help them to achieve the desired Cluster goals. Please help our parishes grow as a faith community by stepping forward and offering your time and talents.
