The Lord sent them in pairs before him to every town and place he intended to visit.
Carry no money bag, no sack, no sandals. On entering any house, first say, “Peace to this house.” If a peaceful person lives there, your peace will rest on the person. Stay in the same house and eat and drink. Cure the sick and say to them “the reign of God is at hand.” Luke 10:1-9
You know that I have not hesitated to preach anything that would be helpful to you but have taught you going from house to house. Acts 20:20
Parish Home Visitation gives people an avenue to practice their baptismal call to mission. It is simply taking the command of Jesus literally: "He sent them to proclaim the kingdom of God . Then they set out and went from village to village proclaiming the good news." (Luke 9). It is a stepping out in faith to share the love of God, and to invite others to come to share in His love. It is the perennial invitation to "come and see."
Let evangelization be the spirit and the impulse that brings you "door to door" with the love of God and a gentle invitation.
