History
The Catholic Institute for Evangelization was established by His Eminence Anthony Cardinal Bevilacqua in 1993. The opening of the Institute was the fruit of the efforts of many men and women who saw the urgent need of Faith Formation for the Hispanic community in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.
At the beginning, the Institute concentrated its work on eleven Hispanic parishes in the North Philadelphia Vicariate. Today, the Institute's programs and services have expanded across the many counties of the Archdiocese, owing to the growth of our Hispanic community over the past several years.
Vision
The Catholic Institute for Evangelization is a center that not only promotes an integral religious pastoral formation as described in the National Pastoral Plan for Hispanic Ministry but also the mission the Archdiocese to foment and deepen the faith in order to be Christ’s witnesses among families, parish, and society.
Mission
To form and to educate the faith of the Hispanic community, so they can develop their talents and skills in the different ministries that the church has to offer.
To achieve its mission, the Institute:
