Topic Area: Website Developer
Description: The Office for the Vicar for Hispanic Catholics is seeking someone who has the talents and experience necessary for developing and setting up a new website for the Office. The website should reflect the richness and diversity of the U.S. Latino community in Philadelphia. No previous website exists, so candidate must know how to set up the website from a small amount of prior work on it that already exists.
Education/ Background:
High school/GED, College student
Skills/Background:
Candidate must be familiar with developing website through programs available in Windows interface. Must have the ability to interact well with a multi-cultural staff and be culturally sensitive. Experience with the U.S. Latino community is also preferred. Bilingual in English and Spanish is helpful, but fluency in one of the two languages will suffice. Candidate must be willing to act positively, think and solve problems creatively, and work under minimum supervision. Proficiency in typing also very helpful.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop website for Office of the Vicar for Hispanic Catholics
- Be available to work in office 2 to 3 hours a week
- Report progress of website to supervisors
