OFFICE FOR CATECHETICAL FORMATION
Catechesis is sharing the teachings of Jesus Christ in such a way that a person comes to: know about God, believe in him and his teachings, enter into a relationship with God and be transformed by him. Catechesis promotes knowing and living the Catholic faith.

While all Catholics participate in the Church's catechetical mission, the Archbishop has primary responsibility for catechesis in the Archdiocese. The Office for Catechetical Formation assists the Archbishop and collaborates with parents in this essential ministry.
The Office fosters the faith formation of students in Catholic schools and Parish Religious Education Programs. To ensure that the beauty of the Catholic faith is taught with fidelity, the Office promotes the ongoing faith formation of administrators, teachers and catechists who serve in schools and parishes. Nourished by the Eucharist, prayer, and the community of faith, catechists teach the Truth by word and example.
Under the guidance of the Holy Spirit and loyal to the mandate of the risen Lord, the Office for Catechetical Formation shares the Good News of Jesus Christ.
