Archdiocese Expands Evangelization for Year 2000
Cardinal Anthony Bevilacqua will announce Archdiocesan efforts for the year 2000 to reach out to the Catholic faithful and to those who have been away from the church.

Among the initiatives the Cardinal will discuss: the success of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia's Bless Me Hotline, which marks its first anniversary November 16th, 1999 and has become a national and international model for other dioceses; Disciples on the Internet; Year 2000 events, including a New Year's Eve Ecumenical Prayer Service; the Cardinal's Millennium Messages and new Archdiocesan Hispanic radio programming.
Editor's Note: Following the news conference, the media will have the opportunity to watch Cardinal Bevilacqua tape his first millennium messages (in English and Spanish) in the Archdiocesan radio studio and visit the Bless Me Line response room.
