For the fourth year the banquet is being co-sponsored by the Philadelphia 76ers. Mr. Pat Croce and his staff will be present for the dinner. The CYO Program utilizes sports and coaching to develop the spirituality and character formation of young people.
The purpose of the banquet is to highlight the efforts of the CYO and to honor adults who exemplify the philosophy, values and mission of the CYO. The three Hall of Fame inductees are:
Sandra Payne Kenton is a member of Hall of Fame Banquet Committee. She is instrumental in promoting CYO events and fund raising. Currently, Sandra is the People Editor for Main Line Life newspaper. She serves on many boards and lectures on voluntary service, fund raising, special events and board development throughout the area.
Dr. Rocco L. Martino is chairman and CEO of CyberFone, Inc. Dr. Martino has been a true supporter of the Church and the Catholic Youth Organization for many years. He has been an ardent supporter of Camp Neumann Retreat Center for the Office for Youth and Young Adults and the annual Christmas toy drive, Operation Santa Claus.
William "Speedy" Morris has been an advocate of the Catholic Youth Organization for over three decades. As head of the Men's Basketball Team at LaSalle University for the past 13 years, Morris has a record of 215 wins, which makes him the winningest men's coach in LaSalle history. Besides working with his own parish team, Speedy makes it a practice to offer assistance to any parish that asks for his help. He gives talks to coaches and players, and is most willing to work with basketball camps during the summer.
