An evening to recognize and salute the many volunteers to the Catholic Youth Organization's Parish Youth Ministry Program will be held on

This special evening is a tribute to the volunteers, youth ministers, coaches, scout leaders, and others who dedicate their time and efforts to the various youth programs of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia's Catholic Youth Organization.

Reverend Thomas J. Smith, Regional Vicar for Delaware County, will receive the "Father Daly Award." The Daly Award, named for a former director of the Catholic Youth Organization, is the highest award given by the Parish Youth Ministry Office. Father Smith has been an advocate for youth causes throughout his 28 years of priesthood. Father Smith served as an Associate Director for Parish Youth Programs while at Annunciation parish in Havertown and Saint Andrew Parish in Drexel Hill. In 1993, he led a memorable pilgrimage of teens to the World Youth Day in Denver. Father Smith still works with the Parish Youth Ministry Program by offering workshops and seminars on youth ministry.
