CARDINAL BEVILACQUA TO CELEBRATE MASS HONORING
MEN AND WOMEN RELIGIOUS

will celebrate a Mass of Thanksgiving for 242 Religious Jubilarians on

242 religious sisters and priests in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia will celebrate their Silver, Golden, or Diamond Anniversaries in 2001. (There are no religious brother Jubilarians in 2001.) These 242 religious represent 13,180 years of service to the Catholic Church. The total number of those who will actually be in attendance at the Mass will be 107.

Two of those celebrating their Diamond Jubilee (75 years) will be present: Sister M. Eustella Volk, C.S.R. (age 101) and Sister M. Constance Norick, M.S.B.T. (age 89). One Jubilarian, Sister Mary Bonaventure Pollock, M.S.B.T., (age 99) will mark 80 years as a religious. (Sister Mary Bonaventure will not be in attendance.) Students from John W. Hallahan Catholic Girls' High School will serve as ushers and banner bearers. Following the Mass, a reception for the Jubilarians and their guests will be held on the portico of the Archdiocesan Office Center, 222 North Seventeenth Street, Philadelphia.
