Catholic Social Services of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia will hold an open house and blessing at its newest center, the CSS Southwest Philadelphia Family Service Center.
Reverend Monsignor Timothy Senior, Secretary for Catholic Human Services will bless the new center. Invited guests include Philadelphia City Council President Anna Verna.

At Archdiocesan Family Service Centers, individuals or families in need can arrange a meeting with a professional social worker to discuss their needs, possible solutions and a plan of action. The Family Service Centers also respond to community needs at times of crisis. Counseling is currently available for those experiencing anxiety, anger or loss after the trauma of the recent terrorist attacks. Bereavement counseling is available for those dealing with the trauma and loss of loved ones as a result of the recent terrorist attacks. Other services include: Case management; pregnancy services; parenting groups; teen support services; elder care services; respite services; refugee services; special friends support group and senior clubs.
