Bernard J. Taglianetti to be Ordained to the Priesthood


The Rev. Mr. Bernard John Taglianetti, 31, son of Alfonso and Katherine Taglianetti, will be ordained to the priesthood by Cardinal Justin Rigali on

A member of Epiphany of Our Lord Parish, Plymouth Meeting, Father Taglianetti attended Epiphany or Our Lord School, Bishop Kenrick High School, Norristown, and Lehigh University, Bethlehem, before entering Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary in Wynnewood. One of eleven children, he earned bachelor's degrees in computer science and English literature at Lehigh. He later worked as a computer programmer at the Vanguard Group, Inc., in Malvern.

The homilist is Reverend Monsignor Daniel Sullivan. The deacons are Rev. Mr. William Radetzky and Rev. Mr. Kenneth Clancy. Concelebrants include Reverend Joseph Gentili, Reverend Richard McAndrews, Reverend James Kelly and Reverend Thomas Higgins.

There are five men in the Class of 2005. At the end of May, each of the newly ordained priests will be assigned to a parish in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia where they will serve as parochial vicars. A parochial vicar is a priest appointed by the Cardinal to assist the pastor of a parish.
