CATHOLICS RAISE PRAYERS AGAINST VIOLENCE IN PHILADELPHIA

Parishioners of Visitation B.V.M. Parish in Kensington will gather on the street in front of the church to pray for an end to violence in the city.

Sunday, January 14, 2007
11:00 to 11:15 a.m.
Visitation B.V.M. Church
Lehigh Avenue and B Street
Philadelphia (Kensington)

People leaving the church from the earlier 10:30 a.m. Mass, including Spanish and English speakers, will be joined by Vietnamese faithful arriving to attend the 11:30 a.m. Mass.

Because the prayer rally will be held between Masses, hundreds of people are expected to participate in the 15-minute service, and the street will be closed during this time to accommodate the expected crowd.
