25TH ANNIVERSARY OF ARCHDIOCESE OF PHILADELPHIA PRAYER SERVICE HONORING DR. MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR.

Cardinal Justin Rigali, Archbishop of Philadelphia, will lead an interfaith prayer service in remembrance of the life of Reverend Doctor Martin Luther King, Junior. This is the 25th anniversary of this service sponsored by the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. The prayer service will be held at St. Katharine Drexel Parish in Chester; Dr. King lived, studied and preached in the city of Chester.

The theme of this gathering is service and it is taking place during the Archdiocese of Philadelphia Season of Service. Cardinal Rigali has invited all parishes and schools of the Archdiocese to encourage a heightened level of volunteer service during the eight-week "Bicentennial Season of Service" from the Feast Day of St. John Neumann on January 5, 2008 to the Feast Day of St. Katharine Drexel on March 3, 2008.

Students from Drexel Neumann Academy will participate in the interfaith prayer service. All are welcome to attend.
