DEACON GEORGE A. BOLTER
1932 - 2008


Deacon George Bolter, Permanent Deacon, Saint Katharine of Siena Parish, Wayne, died on Sunday, March 9, 2008.

Deacon Bolter was born August 24, 1932, in Wayne, Pennsylvania. He attended Saint Katharine of Siena School, Wayne.

Deacon Bolter was ordained a deacon on June 3, 1990, at the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul, Philadelphia, by Most Reverend Anthony J. Bevilacqua. Deacon Bolter served as Permanent Deacon at Saint Katharine of Siena Parish, Wayne; Saint Monica Parish, Berwyn; and Our Lady of the Assumption Parish, Strafford.

A viewing will be held on Sunday, March 16, 2008, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and Monday, March 17, 2008, beginning at 9:00 AM, at Saint Katharine of Siena Church, Wayne. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated by His Eminence Cardinal Justin Rigali at Saint Katharine of Siena Church, on Monday, March 17, 2008, at 11:00 AM. Concelebrating the Funeral Mass will be Reverend Monsignor John A. Close and Reverend Monsignor Michael J. Carroll. Most Reverent Daniel E. Thomas will be the homilist.

Deacon Bolter is survived by his wife, Mary. Interment will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Philadelphia.
