HIGH SCHOOL YOUTH AND ADULTS TO BE HONORED AT
MASS AND RECOGNITION CELEBRATION

Most Reverend Joseph P. McFadden, Auxiliary Bishop of Philadelphia, will be the main celebrant and homilist at a Mass to honor and celebrate the work of individuals involved in Archdiocesan Parish youth and young adult ministry. Approximately 1000 faithful are expected to participate in the Mass hosted by the Archdiocese of Philadelphia's Office for Youth and Young Adults.

In addition to the Mass, an awards ceremony will follow. There will be 135 awards to honor those involved in youth ministry, athletic ministry and young adult ministry.

The St. Timothy Award recognizes high school juniors and seniors for their outstanding leadership and service to their Church and community. The Blessed Frasatti Award and Companions on the Journey Award are presented to adults involved in young adult and youth ministry, respectively, who exemplify the best attributes of ministry and Catholic teaching. Finally, the Bill O'Neill (Companions on the Journey) Athletic Ministry Award is presented, in honor of Bill O'Neill, to adults who exemplify the finest attributes of athletic ministry and Catholic teaching to youth.
