The Archdiocese of Philadelphia announced today that 12 Archdiocesan schools, three students and four teachers will be honored in their respective categories for ranking among the Top 100 math achievers nationwide in the widely-used First In Math® Online Program. The First In Math® Online program presents students with the opportunity to practice their math skills online and improve their fluency by competing against students nationwide. The program currently includes more than 350,000 students from 3,425 schools across the country.
The individual schools, students and teachers will be recognized by Robert Sun, the creator of the 24® Game and the First In Math® Online Program at a special recognition ceremony held at St. Laurence Parish School in Upper Darby. Also at the ceremony, Sr. Edward Quinn, IHM, Director of Elementary Curriculum and Instruction, and Mary Rochford, Superintendent of Schools, will speak to honor these high achievers.
