Online Registration in Final Weeks for March 13 at Archbishop Ryan
Phoenixville native Mike Piazza, a 12-time Major League Baseball All-Star catcher; Evangelist and radio/TV talk host Jesse Romero; and Charles Ramsey, Philadelphia Police Commissioner, will headline an impressive lineup of speakers for the second Men's Spirituality Conference to be held March 13, 2010 at Archbishop Ryan High School in Northeast Philadelphia.
Piazza is a product of St. Ann Parish School in Phoenixville, Montgomery County and is an Advisory Board member of "Catholic Athletes for Christ." Piazza will speak on the influence that the Mass and the Blessed Virgin Mary had on his Journey of Faith throughout his baseball career. Romero's topic will be "Thank God I Am Forgiven". Romero will also lead the Spanish-speaking portion of the conference. Commissioner Ramsey will discuss how his Catholic faith strengthens and guide him as he leads his police force and serves the Common Good.
More than 60 priests will be available for the Sacrament of Reconciliation throughout the day.
The Conference theme during Lent is, "Be Reconciled to the Lord." (2Cor 5:20). Registration ($35 per person, $30 family rate) is underway at www.archphila.org or via 215-587-5639.
Cardinal Justin Rigali, Archbishop of Philadelphia, will celebrate the conference's Closing Mass at 4 p.m.

Maginnis, Auxiliary Bishop of Philadelphia, who heads the Conference planning committee.

Conference registrants are urged to take advantage of round-trip bus transportation being provided (free will offering) from centralized parish locations throughout the five-county Archdiocese. Secure free parking at nearby Franklin Mills Mall, with shuttle service the short distance to Archbishop Ryan High School, will be provided.
