REVEREND THOMAS D. GRAHAM

1921 - 2010


Reverend Thomas D. Graham, Retired and Resident, Saint Francis Country House, Darby, died of congestive heart failure at Saint Francis Country House, on Sunday, July 11, 2010.

Father Graham was born on July 24, 1921, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He is the son of the late Joseph Patrick Graham and the late RoseAnn Henry. Father Graham attended Saint Charles Borromeo Parochial School, Philadelphia, and Southeast Catholic High School, Philadelphia, before entering Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary.

Father Graham was ordained on May 22, 1948, at the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul, Philadelphia, by Most Reverend J. Carroll McCormick. Father Graham served as Parochial Vicar at Saint Canicus Parish, Mahoney City; Saint Catherine of Siena Parish, Reading; Saint Monica Parish, Berwyn; Saint Augustine Parish, Bridgeport; Our lady of Fatima Parish, Secane; Saint Mary of the Assumption Parish, Phoenixville; Holy Family Parish, Philadelphia; Saint Bartholomew Parish, Philadelphia; Saint Francis deSales Parish, Philadelphia; Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish, Philadelphia; and Saint Matthew Parish, Philadelphia. Father Graham also served as Chaplain, Sacred Heart Manor and Saint Mary's Manor. Father Graham retired in 1998.

The Reception of the Body will be held at Saint Francis Country House, Darby, on Friday, July 16, 2010, at 8:30 AM, followed by a viewing. His Eminence Cardinal Justin Rigali will celebrate a Funeral Mass for Father Graham at Saint Francis Country House, Darby, on Friday, July 16, 2010, at 10:00 AM. Concelebrating the Funeral Mass will be Reverend Monsignor John P. Boland, Reverend Monsignor William A. Dombrow, Reverend Richard E. Rudy, and Reverend Monsignor Daniel J. Sullivan. Father Graham is survived by his nieces and nephews. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery, West Conshohocken.
